Guttmanovo II nears completion: A milestone in energy-efficient manufacturing

After more than two years of planning, design, and close collaboration with authorities and partners, Tytex is proud to share that our new factory is entering its final erection phase. Commissioning and testing are scheduled to begin within the next two months, a moment where careful preparation will soon meet reality.

While the architecture itself is striking, the real innovation is hidden in the details. From the very start, our ambition has been clear: to reduce environmental impact and set new standards in energy efficiency. By analyzing our energy consumption patterns, we have created a facility designed to significantly lower our carbon footprint.

One standout achievement is the complete elimination of energy previously needed for heating the building. At the same time, reliance on fossil fuels has been drastically reduced. These steps represent an important milestone in Tytex’s ongoing commitment to sustainable healthcare production.

Once fully commissioned, the new facility will not only stand as an operational hub but also as a statement of responsibility towards the environment, our customers, and future generations.

Optimized Production Flow

Despite the complexity of our product portfolio and business areas, the new factory has been designed around optimized production lines. This ensures a smoother flow of goods, greater efficiency, and increased capacity. The result: Tytex will be better positioned to serve more customers and support future growth.

Smart Use of Compressed Air

Textile production requires substantial compressed air, especially in knitting and sewing. Traditionally, generating compressed air wastes over 80% of the energy as heat. At the new site, we are turning this challenge into an advantage: the heat is now recovered and reused for hot water in washing processes and for heating the building.

This innovation cuts energy waste dramatically and reduces dependence on fossil fuels. Additional optimization comes through adiabatic cooling, expected to lower cooling energy use by around 20%.

Prepared for Solar Integration

The facility has also been designed with the future in mind. It is pre-wired and structurally ready for a large-scale photovoltaic system. When implemented, this will allow Tytex to generate clean energy on-site further reducing our climate impact and strengthening our sustainability journey.

Looking Ahead - same commitment

The Tytex factory project is more than just a new building. It’s a milestone in energy-conscious manufacturing and a foundation for future growth. We look forward to sharing the next chapter as commissioning begins and production takes shape.

Once the factory relocation has been successfully completed, we will begin the process of moving our business address. We expect this address change to take place around the turn of the year.
